UniRocketeers and community volunteers are organizing the UR World Championship for university teams from Europe, North America, Middle East and North Africa, Oceania, South America, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
All stages of the competition will be hosted online on July 20, 21, 28, and August 10, 11. Competing teams will consist of students in good academic standing that attend the same accredited university full-time.
The UniRocketeers World Championship provides the international collegiate Rocket League community an opportunity to compete in the absence of the CRL World Championship this year.

UniRocketeers World Championship Invites & Qualifiers
Four Teams have been invited directly to the 16 team Main Event Swiss Stage due to their record in previous UniRocketeers and CRL events:
- University of Genoa (Hyderr – Dead-Monster – arju – Barist) – Italy
The remaining 12 spots in the Swiss Stage will be determined by the results of the regional qualifiers. NA and EU will send the top four teams each from their qualifiers. MENA, OCE, SAM, and SSA will send one team each. The top eight teams from the Swiss Stage (August 10th) will advance to the Single-Elimination Playoff bracket (August 11th).

UniRocketeers’ Director, James “Cinereous” Coleman-Evans explained, “The collegiate Rocket League community has given us all so many great experiences over the last 6 years and this tournament is our way of giving something back.”
“We may not have the resources to produce a like-for-like replacement for CRL, so we’ve instead focused on creating an exciting event with our own unique spin. With the addition of 4 new regions, UR Worlds 2024 will be open to institutions from 146 countries – more than any other collegiate esports event in history.”
The UR World Championship’s initial prizepool is $600. GoFundMe donations can increase the prizepool to $4000. Registration will be open until Friday, July 19, 2024 at 5:00 PM Eastern. The Swiss Stage(August 10th) and Playoffs(August 11th) will be broadcasted on the UniRocketeers Twitch channel.
The full tournament ruleset is published here. Players interested in competing should register their team before the July 19th deadline here.
