Throughout June, collegiate Rocket League teams across the country oiled their gears and hit the pitch to kick off the highly anticipated CCA Summer Series.
The league is returning in full swing after their spring hiatus, following the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) partnering with eFuse. After two exciting qualifiers to kickstart the CCA Summer Series, we have our 32 teams that will be competing for the championship.
League Qualifiers in the East
In the East we have Northwood University Blue winning the first round of qualifiers, who despite the league hiatus in Spring 2024, has not lost their momentum after taking home the championship in the Fall 2023 series. Additionally, they will be joined by:

In the second round of qualifiers, University of Akron Blue won their qualifiers, and will be joined by:

- Shawnee State University
- Syracuse Universty

League Qualifiers in the West
Winning the West league play, Boise State and Maryville University secure spots in their region, and will be joined by:

While no teams are rookies of the league, there are still exciting stories building as Grand Canyon University, Oregon State University, Viva Fisher, and Davenport University show off their program growth and new rosters for the first time while competing against some of the consistently most powerful teams in the esport.

What’s on the Line
There is $20,000 in scholarship rewards on the line, with each team that qualifies taking home at least $300. Additionally, players’ experience in the Summer Series is unique, as both 2024 Spring graduates along with incoming 2024 freshmen, are now qualified to play for the summer.
Along with the new player faces with this league, CCA is also starting fresh following eFuse’s partnership with the National Esports Collegiate Conference. There are exciting new opportunities at play here for everyone involved.

Following the second round of qualifiers, league play began on July 1st, as teams start working towards the championships in August. All 2024 Summer Series play can be watched on CCA’s Twitch on the following schedule:
