The 2025 Fall season of CollegiateR6, the premier North American collegiate league for R6, is close to wrapping up its Stage 1 Playoffs, giving 48 squads a shot at glory.
Depth and Opportunity
With 48 teams entering the bracket, CollegiateR6 once again proved why it’s one of the largest collegiate Siege competitions in North America. Many of the standout performances come from the top teams in the competition, but with a solid run from an underdog, reminding everyone that in collegiate esports, an underdog story is always alive.
The league’s structure, which supports “student-by-student” management and competition continues to give big and large programs, and even new entrants, a realistic shot at high-level siege action.
The Stakes Behind This Stage
With over 280 teams competing in CollegiateR6, the Stage 1 playoffs highlight how collegiate Siege isn’t just for legacy programs; any school can rise up and compete.
Final standings have yet to be determined, but we have places 5-8 determined, and the semifinals set in stone.
Group A #1 seed Akron swept RIT, Kennesaw State (KSU), and Seneca to get to the semis to face Group A’s #2 seed Virginia Tech who swept Elon, Florida Intl., and OK State.
