College VALORANT Winter 2024 is upon us with $10,000 in scholastic awards and we have you covered on the format, key dates and how to watch this season.
College VALORANT Winter 2024 is here with over 300 teams competing across 4 regions.
Key Dates
This season of College VALORANT will follow a similar format to its inaugural 2022-2023 season, featuring three splits that will build towards the CVAL Championship next spring/summer.
CVAL Winter 2024 kicks off on January 20th and will run through March 3rd, 2024.
- Winter Tournament
- Registration: 11/27 – 1/5
- Phase 1: 1/20 – 1/28
- Phase 2: 2/3 – 3/3
- Spring Tournament
- Registration: 1/22 – 2/26
- Phase 1: 3/9 – 4/7 (No matches scheduled over Easter weekend)
- Phase 2: 4/13 – 5/5
- CVAL Championship
- TBD

Prizing Split
Colleges are competing for their share of this year’s prizing split:
- 1st – $3,000
- 2nd – $2,000
- 3rd – $1,500
- 4th – $1,000
- 5th + 6th – $750
- 7th + 8th – $500
Format
This year’s College VALORANT format has not changed, adopting the same format from its inaugural season.
In phase 1, teams will be split into 32 groups of 4-6 teams and will compete in round robin. The champion team from each group will then move on to the mixed elimination bracket in phase 2.
The number one and two teams from each tournament in each region will qualify for the College VALORANT Championship later this year.
The remaining 30 teams from each tournament in each region will earn Championship points. At the end of the Spring tournament, the top two point-earners from each region will also qualify for the College VALORANT Championship.
How to Watch College VALORANT Winter 2024
In the fall season, University Esports only hosted official streams for the playoffs. Despite this, schools may stream their matches throughout the Winter season.
